Case Study WestAfrica1
Pinnacle were contracted to ship, transport and install in final position 4 x 335te engines, 4 x 78te generators and 2 x 76te transformers plus all associated ancillary equipment from North Europe through to a new build power station in West Africa. It was done in 2 separate shipments per chartered geared vessel’s. It was a challenging project in that all the heavylift installation and transport equipment had to be shipped in as there was no equipment of its type at the destination.
Also 76 power lines had to be either lifted or taken down on the route to the site which the locals were not happy about, to the point they put in road blockades to stop the convoy. All obstacles were overcome in the end and Pinnacle successfully delivered on time, to pin point accuracy and within budget.
